While the resources for the X-44 Saracen remain in the game data files, Goldhawk however couldn't find a niche for it to fit in - so the Saracen was cut from the final game. According to current values, it takes 1 manday to manufacture and 50 mandays to research. Although since it's specifically disabled from appearing, it is impossible to do either.
In-game description[]
The X-44 Saracen is an interceptor built specifically for dogfighting the most manuverable alien craft. It is fast, heavily armoured and extremely agile, employing dual cannons to rip apart its foes at close range.
. Within it lies the mountings for the twin cannon hardpoints, the extensive avionics and the imposing E-77 Alenium Impulsion reactor that provides the vast reserves of power required to make a sixty-ton craft dance like a ballerina at twice the speed of sound.
The resulting craft is an ugly, squat beast capable of destroying almost anything placed in front of it - so no doubt our engineers will feel a certain kindred spirit when they begin to build one.
