Replaces the Laser Carbine
Description[]
Much like its predecessor, the Laser Carbine, the Plasma Carbine is a powerful two-handed weapon and that has 1.5x bonus to reaction fire. Firing 3 plasma bolts per shot, it can easily outperform the Plasma Rifle if at least 2 bolts strike. Unfortunately, it shares the abysmal range of its predecessors with damage quickly dropping off outside of its effective range. The Plasma Carbine is a good breaching weapon, useful in the close environment found inside buildings or UFOs similar to the Plasma Pistol. However, a soldier armed with a Plasma Carbine who is caught in the open will be a weak combatant.
